Safe
and enjoyable sailing is the result of doing
a lot of little things correctly. We offer
a comprehensive learning experience that will
give beginners and novice sailors the skills
to bareboat charter or to confidently handle
their own boats in coastal waters.
The
following courses provide a good combination
of classroom and on the water instruction.
We emphasize hands-on experience to help you
develop your skills and confidence.
Oriental's School Of Sailing offers two courses
for sailors - Basic
Keelboat Certification and
Bareboat Cruising.
BAREBOAT
CRUISING
This course opens the door to an exciting new world of cruising.
You'll build on the sailing skills that you learned in the Basic Keelboat course and apply them to sail and operate a cruising sailboat (30+ feet) in daylight hours and in sight of land. You'll practice everything from using charts and electronics to navigating and meal planning for your crew. You'll learn about the various systems aboard the boat and gain valuable experience anchoring, docking, and living aboard for the length of the course.
You'll gain the knowledge and confidence to successfully charter boats in destinations that were only distant dreams!
While this course is equivalent in all respects to the US Sailing certification course of the same name, there is no certification available.
